The kitchen in this NE Portland Cottage was cramped and congested. The family needed the space to function much more smoothly. To help improve the function of the space, Mac-Bo replaced a swinging door between the kitchen and dining room with an attractive pocket door.

The window at the sink was replaced with an energy efficient casement window, and a full light door was installed at the end of the kitchen to gain access to the yard which helped achieve the galley flow desired.

We took advantage ofrolloutnch we had in this small space by fitting in a tall thin storage roll out, and a thin cabinet above that for cookie sheets and cutting boards.

The cabinets were replaced with custom quarter-sawn oak cabinets, with granite countertops, and a butcher-block counter next to the range.

Additional features include a handsome farm sink, Marmoleum inlaid floors, new appliances and new light fixtures including under cabinet lighting.

Another beautiful kitchen remodel by Mac-Bo!
